How Much Does an Electrician or Plumber Website Cost in South Africa?
A professional website for an electrician or plumber in South Africa typically costs from about R5,000 to R20,000 once off, or a monthly fee that adds up over time. What you get for that money varies far more than the price does.
Once-off or monthly
Some providers charge a low monthly subscription, while others charge a once-off build fee. The right choice depends on who owns the site at the end. Ask whether the website, the domain and the content stay yours if you stop paying.
What our packages look like
As a reference point, our Get Online package starts from R9,999 and takes about 7 days, Get More Leads starts from R14,999 and takes 7 to 21 days, and Growth Partner starts from R19,999 and takes 4 weeks or more. These are starting points; pricing depends on what your business needs.
How we charge: you pay a 30% deposit to start and the remaining 70% before launch. Hosting is free for the first month, then a Care Plan starts from R199 per month (R2,149 per year, which is 10% off). The deposit is non-refundable. You register and keep your own domain name, and every website includes copywriting, 3 rounds of revisions and a free Google Setup Pack: four PDF guides to Google Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics.
Questions worth asking before you buy
- Is the design custom, or a template with your logo added?
- Will it work well on a phone, and how quickly does it load?
- Is a call button, WhatsApp and a clear enquiry form included?
- Does each service get its own page, so it can be found on Google?
- Who owns the site and the domain, and what happens after launch?
The price matters less than whether the website will actually bring in enquiries. A cheap site that nobody calls through costs more in lost work than a well-built one.
